PANDA, Sorry I never answered you many months ago. The reason I said that I was ready to give up is because of my age and health. I was born in 1945, have COPD and am completely tone deaf. I never really had any plans on moving to Italy permanently and now with my COPD and our first grandchild on the way who even knows if I'll visit there again. Hope that you had a Merry Christmas!

Hi there, a beautiful post to read! - yes it can be weird realizing that you are "grown up" - I have wondered at times, on growing up/ageing "gee, when did that happen? where was I?" when I'd gotten a bonus lump payment from the Government for being a "senior" - I was amazed! - "wow I mustn't be a kid anymore" - Life is amazing! My physical therapist yesterday just told me about her cooking her turkey upside down for a while - said how extremely juicy it was. She got it out of an old Fannie Farmer cookbook, which I have because it was Grantsie's when she first got married. She used it for years. Has all the handwritten notes, drips, and drops. And it's still one of the best around - except maybe when it calls for some lard, bacon drippings, etc. But that's at the discretion of the chef. xo :)

Thanks for the information...I enjoyed reading your blog.
We too have found 7 large, 1 medium, 3 smalls, 1 a little smaller. Just a quick note...we did have one break when pouring out the rinse water...maybe the suction was too much. BE CAREFUL! A friend said the seamless seem to break easier...When cleaning them out I used hot water with a little bleach and let it soak 5 minutes or so. Then put in a cup of popcorn Kernals...swish swish and they scrub the scum away. That works for me pretty easy. Thanks again for your blog.
